The cows came forward in nice condition, and brought from £7 10s. to £13 55., making the splendid average 2s. 6d. Best bullocks, £18 to £21; extra prime, to £23 03.; medium,'£ls 10s. t0.£17 10s.; light, £12 10s. to £15; prime cows and heifers, £16 to £18; medium, £13 to £15; light and unfinished, £9 to £11 lie. .' • , . Fat sheep—2l3s 'were penned, including some good sorts.- -There was a/keen demand, freezing' • buyers taking, lightweights, and butchers bidding for prime quality.' SPECIAL SHOW WEEK' HORSE SALE. . We remind our readers of the special sale of horses to be held on Saturday next by Messrs, Abraham and Williams, Ltd., in' their Horse Bazaar,"» Grey Street, I'almcrston North,..at 12 o'clock. There are upwards of 60 splendid draughts to be offered on account of such well-known breeders as Messrs. R. D. .Knight, 'J.' Kearins, J!. Kirkcaldie, J. A. Russell, and R. A. Dick. The last-named has brought from Southland 11 of ' the -• best-set-up draughts that have been ' offered in Palmcrston North tor many a day. They are all useful sorts, and are just out of'hard work. Mr. Knight, whose stock is famous throughout the Dominion, will be, represented, by seven draught inares, and geldings, and three very fine pedigree draught mares. Mx. J. A. Russell,, who has for many years been contracting, has now decided to sell the whole of his teams, and 16 very nice drauehts will be offered on his account. Mr. Kearins, of Kair rnnga, will sell four draughts, and me quality of them is something very special. We recommend those wanting good horses, to'..attend the sale, and the auctioneers advise us that there will: be, no inferior ■ horses offered. -l
