7 : MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. The Rugby Union Management Committee met last, evening, Mr. D. D. Weir presiding. Complaint was made that, the fourth class game, Poneke v. Selwyn, was put oft on Saturday last to allow the Trentham teams to play, but the: Trentham teams did not turn up. It was agreed that the Trentham Committee be asked as to the matter. Mr. Smyrko (referee) attended re his ordering off two players on June 18. The players concerned did not put in an appearance, and the matter was left in abeyance.. •Tno application from Selwyn Club that matches, missed by them on June 8 owing to a misunderstanding be replayed lvas held over for future consideration. The protest of the St. John's . Club because the Hutt Club played in similar jerseys to theirs was dismissed, the referee reporting that the protest was not justified. ..-.'•■ Mr. Pollock, who.failed to attend.before the committee on a previous occasion, attended, and after going into his matter it was decided that he bo suspended for two playing Saturdays. , The following fixtures were, made for July I:—Oriental V. University, Athletic Park, No. 1; AVellington College v. Old Boys, College; Poneke v. Petone.'Petone, No; 1; Selwyn v. tipper Hutt,' Upper Hutt; Athlefio v. Wellington, Duppa Street. . . .Regarding next Saturday's; games it was pointed out that if the. parade of the troops took place as. advertised all games would have to.be postponed.
