HOW. THE 18th DRAFT STANDS. The 18th Reinforcement, which will be mobilised for training next week,'is now complete, according to the Recruiting Board, and in addition all previous shortages have been made good. The official figures, of the registrations for tho infantry as at June 16, all other arms of the service being full, are as follow:— Group, No. 1, Auckland City: Surplus, 152. -Group No. 2, Paeroa, shortage, 47. The total Dominion surplus for the 18th Reinforcement is 176. , There was existing at the same date a shortage on previous drafts owing 'to wastage.in camp of 88, but the surplus enlistments shown above for tho 18th Reinforcement now converts this into an excess of 88.'
