MEAT RATION REDUCED. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copynlffiit Amsterdam, June. 19. Meat rations in Berlin, have been reduced this week to 300 grammes (two thirds of a pound) per head. RIOTS IN MUNICH. MOB CLAMOUR FOR PEACE. Copenhagen, June 19.Scarcity 'of food in Munich led to serious rioting and stone-throiring. during the week-end. Many soldiers were among .the demonstrators. Tho mob clamoured for peace. The police pispersed the crowd. Bread cards are now being issued, FOOD RIOTS AT AIX-LA-CHAPELLE. (Rec. June 20, 7 p.m.) Amsterdam, June 20. Serious food riots have occurred at Ais-la-Chapelle. Thousands marched in procession, but several police chavjos dis-, persed them. Some of the demonstrators were injured. Supplies of food 6tuffs had not arrived owing to the railway stoppages due to'the movements of troops, and tho city was reduced to the verge of famine. A wireless message states tbat tho "Kolnische Voiles.Zeitung" has published an officer's letter, which, while admitting the existing starvation and the hardships of the wives and mothers, urges a censorship'on all letters from relatives _to the front, because complaints are calculated to have evil effects ufon the soldiers in tho trenches. . WINTER CROPS IN JEOPARDY. (Rec. June 20, 7 p.m.) Berne, June 20. The winter rye crop in Germany has been almost entirely ruined by the heavy rains of the past four or five weeks. Unless the weather improves the >vheat crop is bound to bo. seriously damaged. STRIKE TROUBLES. ARTILLERY BIVOUACS IN THE STREETS. • Home, June 19. A wireless press message reports seri oua strike troubles at Magdeburg. An entire artillery regiment is constantly under arms, and bivouacs in the streets.
