■ - 1 - SATURDAY'S MATCHES. At the Athletic Park oil Saturday St. Patrick's College was beaten, by. University, by 40 points to 3 points.' For" University, trios were scored by O'Sullivan (3), .Dickson (3), I,yes (2); Maxwell (2), Barker, and Churchill. M'Kenna converted one try, and Churchill another. For St. Patrick's, Dealy scored a try. A Company, 17th Eeinforcements, and B Company, 17th Reinforcements, niet at Athletic Park. A Company won by 36 points to A, and their total was composed of three tries, by O'Brien, two tries by Brewer, two trie? by Wells., two trios by Campbell, one try by Neary, agoal from a try, kicked by Marshall, and a'potted goal by Sheahan. Petone, after an interesting contest, defeated Old Boys by 89 points to 3. Mr. Tregaar acted as referee; Hutt Fourths defeated University by default. Potone Fourths defeated Wellington by 35 points,to i- Mr. E. Smrrk was the refereo. Petone Fifths defeated St. James by 27 points to 3, Mr. A, Beqnet controlled the game. . SQHOOL BUGBT. On Saturday the . Terrace School team met Marist (Newtown), and a good game resulted. In the first half Marist pressed hard p.nd scored two tries (Ward and Gallichan), one of which was converted by Gallichan. In the second spell Terrace mrfde the pace and scored two tries, oonverting one—all the work of Wilson. Towards the end of the game Mari6t had nil. the batter of matters, but- failed to score, the gamn ending in a draw.
