MEMORIAL TO EARL KITCHENER.
Sir,—l cannot conceive a bettor or more useful memorial of Earl Kitchener than the production' anil distribution of copies of nis message to the soldiers of the Expeditionary Forces, in a form suitable for framing and hanging on the walls of our houses, schools, etc.. and. I trust that publishers will promptly issue there. Those words are the expression of the strength of'-'character of the great soldier leader, the cleanness and directness of his mind, and his ideals for the men. They are more worthy of remembrance, in this way, than Nelson's phrase "England expects that every man will do his duty,", because they ure a fuller expression of the Nelson idea. If they could be placed in this fashion 111 every home they would do more to help the coming manhood of the Empire than any statues or monuments. The Patriotic Societies could take this matter in hand, and by no doing they would confer a public benefit, and also find a source of revenue as a suitable memorial of this character would find a ready sale.—l am, etc., G. S. COOK. Methodist Parsonage, Cambridge.
