NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW
Next .week the National Dairy Show at P&lmerston North will be. close at hand. Tho entries are as usual numerous, and both' tho north and south aro ■well represented. . The cattle sale, which is being held for tho first time in the new cattle pavilion, haa attracted a large number of entries, and will be an extra inducement to tho dairy farmer to visit tho show. Their Excellencies Lord and Lady Liverpool have intimated their intention of visiting tho show on one of the days, also some of the Ministry and members of Parliament, if opportunity offers. The Mimawatu Poultry Association has well on for a thousand entries, amongst which aro some of the best fowls, pigeons, and canaries in the Dominion. The programme, shortly stated is, in addition to tho never-ending attraction of "tho exhibition halls: —Tuesday, school sports; Wednesday, To Aute-Wanganui football matches; Thursday, cattle sale and hunters' competitions; Friday, ponyleaping, cadot competitions, and ambulance display. The four days are full of interest and education.
