WAR LECTURE.
On Monday evening, -under the auspices of the Wellington Patriotic Society, llr. T. M. Wilford, M.P., chairman of ,tho society, is to deliver a lecture at the Town Hall on . several important phases of tho great war. The lecturer will explain the reasons for Rumania's negative part in the ivar, and will deal at length with the German attack on Verdun. Mr. WilfoAl has a' knowledge of the topography &" the' country round the famous French' fortress, which should lend interest to his handling of this, particular subject. Ho will also touch upon the great North Sea fight. His Worship tho Mayor will take the chair.
