The total number of .bales of hemp graded at the ports of the Dominion dur--1 mg May was 10,841, as compared with. 9163 for the corresponding month of last year, an increase of 1378 bales. For the twelve months ending llav 31, 1916, the number of bales graded was 6455, as compared with 1414 for the previous 12 months, an increase of 5014 ( bales.
