Tho weather was fine, and the attendance largo. The totalisator handled tho sum of ■£13,787, as against <£41,256 on tho second day last year. The* results are: — ORAKEI HURDLE RACE. When the straight was entered for tho second time, El Gallo was in the load. At the first fence of the double in front of the stand, tho favourite made a faulty jump, but quickly recovered. He was never afterwards troubled, and won pulling up. by 100 yards. AVaimai finished' six lengths m front of Ngatoa. Hopye was. fourth, and New York fifth.
