LATEST RECRUITS

The mobilisation of the 17th Keinforcements was concluded 011 Saturday, when the men from the West Coast of the South Island went into camp. The draft is 197 men short. Canterbury has the heaviest shortage, Otago a small shortage, and Auckland has a' 1 .surplus of two. The figures of the shortages are:—

Dominion total 197 Auckland sent a surplus of five .men to wimp, but as three were rejected by the doctors the northern district's net surplus is two.

The districts in arrears have been requested to make good their deficiencies by Thursday of this week.
