Thero was a fair crowd present, and the result was a handsome win for Eeatherston. The gronnd had been softened by the recent rains, but the play was interesting, and at times fast. Eeatherston's twelve points came from tries by Hasell, Dwyer, and M'Kenzie, and a goal by Hasell from a mark. Trentham scored fivo points—a try by Leeder, converted by Watson. Mr. E. Evensen controlled the game. THIRD-GRADE MATCH. • Victoria Collego Thirds beat Old Boys Thirds at Athletic Park by 19 to G. For College, Churchill scored threo tries, and Barker and Archer ono each. M'Kenna converted two tries. For Old Boys, Tonks and Pilcher scored a try each. . Potono thirds defeated Wellington at Petono by 38 to 3. Mr. Perkinson was referee.
At Lower Hutt the local fourths defeated Selwyn by 13 to 11.
