BOON TO THE PROVINCE. The Taranaki people aro very fortunate In having with them one of the largest and most comprehensive businesses that •has ever been established in the Dominion. Tho business is, of course, that of Mr. Newton King, which is very widely known. Tho scope of this great business is a tiling which everyone in Taranaki is well aware of in a general way, but to the visitor to tho provinco the vast extent of the enterpriso is oven more striking. So comprehensive is tho concern that there is not a requirement of farmer, settler, or motorist which it cannot satisfy, and it can supply many of tho wants of the townspeople. The firm has four branches—in New t'lymouth, in Stratford, in Ingleivood, and in Kaponga. From any one of these branches all of the lines' dealt in. can lie supplied. ' ■ Among the leading .lines of tho firm nrc full stocks of agricultural machinery. Not merely can tlie..latest in machinery bo obtained at the branches, but information concerning the implements and devices can be obtained from tho firm's experts. Moreover, .all spare parts of the machinery, are oil hand and available practically, at . a moment's noticc. Travellers through' .Taranaki;" might? boar in mind that anything they chance to requiro, is procurable from 111-J King's. A lino feature of tho scope of, the business is that if one's engine .breaks down twenty miles or so out of town. they havo only 'to ring up- Nqwton ..King's, and a man capable .of fixing it will bo thero within the hour. a As to agricultural machinery, the firm .is agent for P. and'D. Duncan, of Christchurch, well-known..'maker's of ploughs, harrows, drills, and other machinery. Also, it is the sole importer for Taranaki of the AdriancV mowers and' rakes, and, monitor drill, manufactured by the Molme Plow Company. It runs the Ridd milking machine, ono of tlio oldest makes in Taranaki, and the Lister benzine engine, which (it is claimed) has the largest sale in its line in 'Taranaki to-day. Hiis year the firm has sold quite 100 Lister, engines in Taranaki.
In the motor-car line, it holds the eolo agency for the Hudson Ktudebaker, and Dodge makes. There is, too, a complete stock of Michelin. tyres and motor accessories; and in New Plymouth and Stratford there aro workshops where expert mechanics are engaged. Spare parts for motor-cars • are .stocked.
The firm is agent for the .-White Company motor lorry (which is said to have the biggest sale in, America), and for the U.S.A. motor-cycle. .
Thero will bo a large exhibit at tho winter show, including agricultural machinery, motor-cars, milking-machines, and engines. Tho employees in attendance at 'the stand will bo glad to furnish callers with alt particulars and information. —
