GALLANT DEEDS IN THE AIR
RESOLUTE ATTACKS BY BRITISH AIRMEN. (Rec. Juno 2, 3.15 p.ni.) London, June 1. The new Air Board has published its first periodic resume of official air reports, with selected incidents, of which there is a lengthy list. An air fight in -May shows that tho British airmen do not hesitate to attack Superior enemy forces. Names are not. mentioned, l>nt it shows that during a raid on Dunkirk on May 21 nil officer attacked four of the enemy's craft, bringing down one and fighting tho others in turn until his ammunition was expended. On the same occasion, when another officer attacked an aeroplane, ho was suddenly attacked from behind by three Foklscr machines. Tic instantly attacked thorn, and they fled and escaped. A third officer engaged three, mid brought down two.
