STARVING CHILDREN OF BELGIUM
AN APPEAL TO THE CHILDREN OF NEW ZEALAND. ■By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright (Rec. Juno 2, 10.15 p.m.) Sydney, June 2 The Lord Mayor, of London cables that tho National Committeo for tho Relief of Bolgium is arranging a "Children's Day" throughout the Empire on July 10, 'in aid of two and a half million children in Belgium, tho majority of whom are destitute. Through: a neutcal committee they have been provided with a daily ration just enough to keep them alive. He appeals to the children of Australia • and New Zealand to assist, and. asks the education authorities to organise campaigns for funds.
