MEDICAL MEN EXEMPT.

ilie following amended by-law was agreed to by the City Council last evening:— !

Clause 712 of the Wellington City Bylaws (g) No person ehall leave any motorcar or motor-cycle with side-cnr attached, unattended in any of the following streets or public places for more than v ten minutes at any one timo: Lambton Quay from Brandon Street to Willis Street \ Featherston Street, from, Brandon Street to Lambton Quay; Willis Street, ™, Lambton Quay to Hauke street; Manners Street, from Willis Street to Taranaki Street; Cuba Street, from Manners Street,l to Vivian Street; Molesworth Street, from Lambton Quay to Tinakori Road, (h) No person except a dulv qualified medical practitioner engaged'at the time in attending to a patient elsewhere than at his own burgcry shall leave any motor-car or motor-cycle with side-car attached, unattended m any street or public place other than those mentioned in the preceding paragraph, for more than one hour at any one time, except in 6uch places as may irom time to time be ap--7 council by resolution as stands for private, venicles " A proviso sets out that this sub-clause shall not apply to vehicles plying for hire ha certain conditions. ,
