The' number of births registered in Wellington for tho month of May totalled 232—a. record. For the corresponding month' last year the number was 196. -Deaths decreased by three last month in comparison with the corresponding period last year, while there, were 18 more marriages. ■ . For the, first five months of this year thftre havo been more births, deaths, and marriages registered in Wellington than thero .were during the same period in 191b. , Following are the particulars:— MONTH OF MAY.
