FIRES AT TAUMARUNUI
Br Telegraph—Press Association. Taumarunui, May 80. A three-roomed house on Rangaroa Hill was burned down on Saturday night. It was owned by Mr. Munroe and occupied •by Mr. Mackay. There was a small insurance on the furniture in the State Office. At 10.30 o'clock last night a.lire broke out in a shaving saloon in Main Street, owned by M. Matter and occupied by S. Matter. The brigade confined the fire to the one building. The building and stock wore badly damaged by smoke and water. The insurances .were in the Liverpool and London. Office, on the shop for ,£2OO aiul on the stock and fittings for ilso.
