There are prospects of seeing some good footbuU/in the several matches set down for tffs afternoon. The start is being made of a special competition promdted between rival companies among the Rciliforcements at Trentham Camp, tho special attraction to-day being that between- D Company, lGtli, and the Engineers, both of which have strong teams, comprising many well-known players. This game is being played at Athletic Park, and in addition Old Boys meet University. At Petone, Wellington meet the local team, and at ICelburn Park F and G Companies of the 16th Reinforcements meet.
