Waterside Workers' Union, who pleaded guilty in the Lower Court to stealing articles of tho total-value of ,E5 from the steamer Taieri, came up for 6entonoß Iwforo Mr. Justice Sim. His Honour said cargo broaching was very prevalent, and it was hard to detect. There was no-.doubt that if the Waterside •Workers' Union did-its duty in, the matter the volume of crime would be greatly reduced. Prisoner was 'sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment with hare] ifbour. :
