The Hon. J. Allen replied that a volunteer who was permanently unfit could secure his exemption at once, so far as he knew, with the limitation that there might be cases where, it would be necessary to re-examine some of these moil who held local doctors' certificates. These men would be examined before a medical board. • ' •
