TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH.
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES. The anniversary services of tho Trinity Church, V/elliitgton South, woro brought to_a conclusion on Wednesday night by a "most eujoyablo social, which was will attended. Reports from tho trust secretory and tho treasurer were read, and musical items rendered by tho choir, and recitations by Miss Fathers and the Rev. J. Richards wore given. A featuro of tlw ovening was two solos rendered by Mrs. Ernest Dawson. Regret was expressed for tho death of tho late superintendent minister, tho Rev. W. Klado, ivhioh. had handicapped the Church vork somewhat, but through the efforts of tho Rey. J. Richards interest in tho church has been kept up. Tho membership of tho_ church stands at 175 senior and 42 junior members, whilst tho Sunday School, under the superintendeney of ilr. Sim, has decreased by only one, notwithstanding that 12 young men. from the Bible Class and two from the teaching staff have enlisted, Tho chairman for tho evening was the R«v. E. Drake, the new superintendent minister, who gave a stirring address as to the future possibilities of church work in Wellington South. Tho Rev. Mr. Richards also spoke, advocating closer unity amongst the church organisations. At the conclusion of tho meeting refreshments were handed round by tho members of the Ladies' Guild.
