REPRISALS DEPRECATED. By Telegraph—Prese Association—CopyViglt London, May 21. In the House of Commons, Mr. H. J. Tounant (Under-Secretary for War) said that the evidence of returned prisoners showed that Germany had not observed the dietary, scale, and many would have starved without tho parcels from England. Replying to a suggestion for reprisals, Mr. Tennant said such a course might have grave consequences. There was no reason why we should follow a bad example.
