KHANDALLAH DEBATING SOCIETY.
At tho Khandallah Presbyterian. Churcli schoolroom on Tuesday evening, the ladies of the Khandallah.Literary and Debating Scciety gave a most enjoyable entertainment to mark the opening oj the 1916 session of tho society. There wero about one hundred members and friends present, and ah. excellent • programme was gone through, comprising many excellent musical, vocal, and elocutionary items'. The' function closed with the singing of the National Anthem, and a hearty vote of thanks to the lady members who were responsible for tho success <.f the affair. At the next meeting of tho socicty the .first debate of the session will take pla'cc.
