- N.Z, LADIES' ASSOCIATION. Tlio adjourned aiinual meeting of the New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms last evening, Mr. W. Robertson presiding.. 'Pta following delegates representing the districts mentioned ,were present :~Mr. J. C. Cusack (Auckland), Miss Mackay (Bulbr), *1 iss M. R. Saunders . (Canterbury), Messrs. H. A. Schlaadt and A. X. Murphy (Otago), Miss A. Pulton (Poverty flay), Hiss Monteatk (Taranaki), Miss D. HaTvey (Wairarapa), Miss S. Simons (Wellington). Southland was represented' by tho chairman. The Marlborough. Association wroto tendering their resignation to the association. It was decided that Marlborough .be written to. asking that they 'reconsider their resignation.' After a long discussion, the report and balance-sheet wero adopted: Tho report congratulated members on tho success of tho past season. It rnado mention of tlie faot that the annual tournament had been held in Wellington. Tho gross proceeds of the tournament amounted to .£75 Os. Gd., this amount having been handed over to the Mayor's Soldiers' Fund. Tho honours of the comne'titiou had been carried off bv Poverty Bay, but the Wairarapa and Wellington teams had played excellently, and divided sccond place. Thanks were tendered to tlioso' who had assisted the association, and in this connection the City Council were specially thanked for allowing the full use of the Basin Reserve for tho tournament. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of 133. ad. Tho election of officers resulted as under:—Patron, Her Excellency "-ho . Countess of Liverpool; president, Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P.j vice-president, Mr. J. C. Cusack; Management" Committee, Misses Pulton, Harvey, Monteath, Mackay, and Simons; lion, secretary, Miss Mooro; hon. treasurer, Mr. R. Saunders; hon. auditor, Mr. H. A. Lamb'. Tho Question of hooking sticks was left to tho Management Committee. It was .decided that tho .annual tournament bo held as 'usual this year, but tho allocation of same was left to tho Man»!.""»(!nt Committee. Votes of thanks waro accorded Mr. ,T. C. Cusack, who had rendered "aluable service in the capacity of acting-secretary for the past few weeks, and to tho chairman. ' ,
