An Italian official, communique states:—"Numerous heavy batteries resumed the' bombardment at Zugna Orta and afterwards launched five more most violent attacks. Each of them was hurled bade with bloody losses." MOUNTED "ANZACS" IN DESERT ACTION ■ / ENEMY'S CAMP DESTROYED. Tlio High Commissioner reports:— London, May IS, 8.30 p.m. "The War Office announces that a successful enterprise was carried out against (lie enemy at Bnyoutl and Jlageibra by! a column of Australian and New Zealand mounted troops on Tuesday. Tho enemy made no resistance, but immediately fled, and was pursued. Owing to very great heat and bad going over deep sand, it was impossible lo pursue very far. Thirty-six camels and a considerable quantity of Turkish ammunition were captured at Bayoud, and tile onemy's camp was destroyed." RUMANIAN LOAN LARGELY OVER-SUBSCRIBED. Bucharest, May 18.
