MEDALS FOR SIX MONTHS' FIGHTING
NEWSPAPER AGITATION IN BRITAIN, , , (Rec. May 17, 10.25 p.m.) London, May 17. Tho "Daily Mail" has initiated a campaign to forte the Government to issue medals to survivors of. the original Expeditionary Force to France and the Gallipoli forces, . which latter operation has been completed. It points out that many may afterwards be killed without proof of their country's recognition of their services, and that therefore it would be absurd to wait till the end of the war. A medal issued to all men who have done six months' fighting would 1)9 greatly appreciated at the front.
