Mr. Justice Bailhache, Chairman of the Committee of Inquiry, invited the accusers to attend, but there was no response, and the inquiry was adjourned. MR. PEMBERTON BILLING EX- > . PLAINS. (Rec. (the airman who has been conducting a vigorous campaign of criticism against tho Government's handling of the air servico), 6tates that he received' no invitation to attend the inquiry. What, guarantee, ho adds, would he have if he appeared before the Commission that his charges and corroborative evidence would not be heard' in camera? The newspapers emphasise the fact, that Mr. Pemberton Billing has run away from his charges. Correspondence has been published which shows that Mr. Pemberton Billing was invited to attend the inquiry on Thursday, and refused because, he said, it was a non-expert committee.
