The Finance Bill, to be introduced on Thursday, will provide that, a person Having income tax in the colonies will not he r.equired to pay moro here than will bring his aggregate payment up to ss. in the A". After consultation with Mr. J. G. Jenkins (a former Premier of South Australia), Mr. R. B. Wise (Agent-General for New South Wales), and the Double Income Tax Association, Mr. J. Annan Bryce has given notice to move an amend, ment on the lines of General Botha's suggestion— that the taxpayer should oniy pay the difference, if any, between tho Colonial and the British tax.
