; The first sectional meeting of the Philosophical Society for- the 3916 session was held in the Dominion Museum last evoning when Mr. G. Buckman, F.G.S., of Oxford, forwarded an, interesting criticism of a former paper'by. Dr. Thomson on certain developments of brachiopods. The chairman exhibited some Tccent seismological records of interest.
