STEAMER HELD UP

■CHEW DEMAND REMOVAL OF COOKS. Owing to trouble between Hie crew and the two cooks of the Corinna, that vessel was unable to leave Wellington for the south last evening, as was intended. It appears that trouble had been brewing between the parties mentioned since the vessel's departure from Dunedin. . The disagreement became considerably/mora acute at tea last evening when-the forer castle hands complained to the captain of the food, and the cooking. The crew refused to go to sea again with the cooks. Captain J: Scott, master of the vessel, remonstrated with ttie men of the galley, and the cooks eventually gave notice, but would not. go ashore until the vessel reached Dunedin. A constable was called and the cooks 'then agreed to leave' the shin. The Corinna will leave for Oamaru and Dunedin this morning.
