THROUGH COMMITTEE TEE MINERS' VOTE By Telegraph-Press Assodation-OopyrigM. i London, May 12. The Military' Service Bill has passed the committee stage. The Miners' Federation card vote shows that out of 583,000, 135,000 opposed conscription. The federation has unanimously protested against the automatic enlistment of lads vi eighteen years. THE ISSUE IN AUSTRALIA. PRESENT SYSTEM CONSIDERED SATISFACTORY. . Melbourne, May 13. In the House of Representatives the Hon. F. G. Tudor (Minister of Customs) stated that the system of recruiting was satisfactory, and continued to furnish the necessary reinforcements and the 'additional now troops promised.
