THE SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
In spite of tho inclemency of the weather, there was a good attendance at the Sailors' Friend Society last :iight, when a programme of music was presented by Mr. R. H. Belinett and party. Competitions were entered into during the i evening: by the seamen present. At tho' close of tho evening a vote of thanks to the performers was moved by the Missioncr. Mr. Moore, and -responded to by Mr. Bennett. Tho following contributed to tho program mo: —Misses Evans, Thomson,' Dormer, Messrs. Haigh, Bennett, Gardiner, and Master Thomson, Messrs, Ross (Cobar), Kempton, nv.d Gartwright. Mr. Haigh was at tho piano.
