KHANDALLAO LITERARY AND DEBATING SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING. Tho report presented at the annual meeting of iho Ivhandallah. Literary and Debating Society stated that the number of financial members on the roll for the. year was 44, as against CO.for the previous year. The average • attendance for tlie sixteen meetings held waa 26.5, as compared with 31.3 for the' previous session. s'ho lowest attendance at any meetingwas ten, and the highest sixty. Tho 1915 syllabus was well arranged, ' and contained somo very interesting debates and discussions, and was adhered to with ona or two exceptions. Tho third annual meeting was held on Tuesday, May 9, 191G, at 8 p.m. Tho following officers -were elected ; lor the ensuing year:—President, Mr. J. H., liichardson;. vice-presidents, Messrs. G. Hogben, C. C. Crump, H. L. Jones, A. E. Budd, W. Appleton, and E. Cowles; secretary 'and treasurer, Mr. E. Hobbs: editors of journal, Miss 11. lieith and Mr. ,T. M. Dale; committee, Mesdame3 Page, Meadowcroft, Daniel, and Luke, Misses I Richardson and Sunderland, Messrs. Luke, Jones, Meadowcroft, and Burt; auditor, Mr. Ernest Nees.
