JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. . ' Orders were made in two judgment summons cases. W. Mooro was ordered to pay ■£:! 14s. 6d. to Thos. BBEACH OF AWARD. ■ In the case of the Inspector 'of Awards v. K. A. Bertanees, a claim for a penalty of for breach of the Privato Hotel Workers'. Award, judgment was given for the plaintiff for 10s. . . RESERVED JUDGMENT. . Reserved judgment "was delivered in tho case o£ the Karcri. Borough. Council , 0. B. Buxton, a. claim for rates. Tho company had niadc payments to the plain. Lift under Che Workers' Compensation Act at the rato of .El 14s. weekly for eight weeks, and tho present claim ia for further relief. Mr. P. J. O'Regan appeared for the plaintiff,, while Mr. M. Myers appeared tor tho defendant com-, paiiy. After partial htiaring tho case was* adjourned until noon to-day.. 'POLICE CASES. " ' Police_ cases wero fieard Ticfore Mv. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., Andrew John Davidson, who some time ago lost an arm in a railway ucculent, was convicted ol drunkenness «nd of breach of a prohibition order. ' On the suggestion of Inspector Hendrcy, lio was committed to the Inebriates' Homo at Koto Eoa, and ordered to remain thero for a period o? two years. ' Thouias Myers was sentonced to a month's imprisonment for tho thoft ol a pair of lHiot-s, valued at ill. . Peter Mulcahy, who appeared in the dock in tlio uniform of a momber.of tlio Expeditionary Force, was fined 20s. lor drtinKonness, tho alternative being threo days' imprisonment. Thrco first-offending inebriates were also dealt with. JUVENILE COUET. A boy, twclvo years of age, was charged in tho Juvenile Court yesterdpy (before TiTr. H. G. A. Cooper, S.M.) with wilfully 'damaging some electric light globes in an unoccupied dwellinghouse at Karori. Ho was admonished and discharged, the Magistrate warning him that, if lie appeared before tho" Court again, he might he eent to an industrial school.
