ADDITIONAL AWARDS. Large numbers of people were attracted to the Town Hall yesterday afternoon and evening to see the Patriotic Apple Fair and the fine display of fruit hus been generally highly commented upon. The whole of the exhibits make a great show and/the pretty colourings of thousands of beautiful apples are well worth seeing. Practically all the fruit is for sale, both in case : aud by plate. It.has been suggested that the prices should be marked on all. fruit offered for sale. There are also.other goods lor sale which are not readily obtainable in Wellington. The proceeds of the show will bo handed ovei tor patriotic punposes. The prospects of making the fair ail nvnual, fixture are said to be bright and good work has already been put into tho show in the direction of making it educative. Tho 6how will remain open till Saturday nest. The various districts' courts were iudg. Ed yesterday afternoon when the follow, ing results were announced:—Nelson, 1; Hawke's Bay, 2; Canterbury,■ 3; Ola»o, i; Port Albert. 5. .

The Wellington Tramways Band is to play an attractive programme of music at the apple show in tho Town Hall, between 8 and 10 o'clock this evening.
