HARRIERS
! CLUBS AMALGAMATED. During the past week delegates from the Wellington, Olympic, and Scottish. Harriers held a meeting in the Y.M.C.A. to discuss the question of carrying on the sport during tlie period of the war, as the harrier ranks have been sadly depleted by the heavy enlistments from their ranks, as the following will show:—Out of an active membership of 31, tlw Wellington Club have sent 24; Olympic, 22 out of 35; and Scottish, 10 out of 18, making 56 out of 8-1. Thus it was a matter of impossibility to carry on separately. On' the motion of Mr. F. Hodson, seconded by Mr. W. Ballantyne, it was decided to amalgamate for tho duration of the war. After some discussion, the name Trinity Harriers was decided on. The following officers were elected for tho ensuing season Captain, Mr. P. Hodson; vice-captain, Mr. 1?.. Parrington; secretary, Mr. W. JlonaHlson; treasurer, Mr. W. Bennett; auditor, Mr. H. Lamb; committee, Messrs. E. A. Shaw, W. Ballantyne, A. E. Jr. Rowland; handicappers, Messrs. F. Hodson and W. Bennett; Press steward, Mr. P. Hodson.
