NATIONAL RESERYE.
Sir,- As an example of the manner tu whicli the business of the NationaJ Reserve is conduoted by I quote the following, whioli will speak for itself :— A platoon commander, whose appoint* ment had not been confirmed, was gross, ly insubordinate to his C.O. ill the hearing of his platoon. The executive of the group sent a report to Head, quarters in December iast asking that tlie matter be dealt with without delay, but up to the present has not received any deoision. In the face of such dilatiriness, is it any wonder then that t'ba National Reserve is falling to pieces all over the Dominion ? As an ex-Imperial soldier I can state without fear of contradiction that sucli an occnrrence would be settled in the British Army within seven days—l am, etc., RESERVIST, April 22, 1916. .
