SHOPS- IN FAIRLIE RIFLED.^ By TclqsTanh,—Press Association. Tlmaru, May 1. Fairlie was raided by a burglar oil Saturday night. Safes at the Farmers' Co-operative, railway station, and Sheeran's jewellery shop were blown open and robbed. A storm was raging at the. time. The thieves first went to. a blacksmith's shop and got tools. Doors and windows were forced and the safes were blown open with gelignite. Bags of flour, sugar, and other materials were used to deaden the sounds. At the Farmers' Co-opera-tive £120 in cash was taken, from tha railway station £40 cash, and from Sheer.iu's solid gold and jewellery, Valued at £200. Apparently the wort was done by exports.
