NISWTOWX CLUB'S RECORD. By winning the pennant competition, the Newtown Club lias established a record that has. probably not been eoualled in New Zealand heretofore. Its achievements this season consist of the FolWing performances:—Winners of the Dominon Association's rink contest at Christehurch; winners of champion of ■champion rinksj winners of champion of champion doubles; winners bf cham■pion of champion pairs; winners of pennants; rtmuers-up in Wellington Centre tournament. . Any club :would have been proud to win one of these events, but for the one club to "scoop tho pool" is an achievement that reflects great credit on the keenness of its members, and one that : will figure for all time in the local histery of the game.
