WORK ON GOOD FRIDAY.
Sir, —I would like to know if Friday is kept as a public holiday iij our Dominion. Here, in our little dis< trict, we see large station-holders work< ing; their men on tliis holy day. It plainly shows that Christianity hai gone that far back that the existence oi Good Friday has been forgotten. And, again, we see the Road Board men working also —a disgrace to any, district. It these men cannot show a better example, it's about time thai they should go' to tho front, and leave their places to be taken by [men who would keep this holy day as it should be kept. Surely some of these men's consciences must prick them, especially those who pretend to bo so religious. Here we see them holding divine ser« vice in their private houses. What they heard at the religious service must have gono in one ear and out the otheiv I ami etc-. - STORMBIRD. April 22.
