THE SOLDIERS' CLUB

The dance which was given at the Soldiers' Olub Gym. in Sydney Street I last evening was a largely attended and most successful affair. Mrs. Massey, tho club's president, received the guests. A feature of the.evening was tho excellent dance music which was played by ono of tho Maori troopers. Colonel Potter, with a party from tho camp, was present, and expressed himself as delighted with tho efforts of tho club in entertaining soldiers on leave. It is probable that if the "12ths" aro allowed leave on Saturday evening— and there appears to bo every likelihood that leave will be granted—another dance will bo arranged for that evening. In fact, the mon may ro«ard it as almost a certainty, but they "will hear more later.
