TEMPORARY APPOINTMENTS
GENERAL NOTES
•The following officers have reported at Trentham for duty:—2nd Lieuts. F, C. Mitchell, G. W. Bollinger, F. (h Moncrief, and G. F. Bertrand, 17th Reinforcements, Infantry. 2nd Lieut. J. Hill, J Company, 16th, has returned, from sick leave.
2nd Lieut. W. L. Harrison has been transferred from the Reserve Squadron to the 16th M.R. draft.
Cant. S. J. Bolton has reported at Featherston for duty at the camp pay offices.
Gunner W. J. O'Reilly, N.Z.F.A., 4th Reinforcements, has reported at Feathcrston for duty, and lias been attached to'the N.Z.F.A., 12th. The P.M.O.'s Cup for the best-kept hut, at Trentham for the .week ending April 22 was won by D Company, 16th; E Company, 15th, second j and A Company, 15th, and , F Company, 15th, commended. The condition of the 15th Reinforcements' lines is, according to a note in routine orders, up to the best traditions of Trentham Camp. The- Commandant at Trentham acknowledges 14 cases of fruit, branded RG over W, and labelled "Trentham Camp." This fruit has been distributed to various units in camp. Temporary Appointments at trentham. The following temporary appointments have been approved by the Camp Commandant at Trentham:—' Sergt. W. Dunleavy is • appointed Temporary Instructor, N.Z.P.S., on one month's probation. Headquarters Staff (Quartermaster's Stores).—Sergt. V. A. Raplcy and Corpls. P. N. M'Grath, W. Stark, W. T., Sullivan, and J. M'Kinnon, to be quartermaster-sergeants; Q.M.S., A. Evans, to bo regimental quartermastersergeant; Ptes. L. Mason, J. T. Wilson, G. H. Wilson, R. 0. Cookson, Lce.Corpls. J. W. Botting and H. J. Barford, Ptes. P. E. Ching and J. Palmer, to be corporals. N.Z. Field Engineers, 15th Reinforcements.—Corpls. G. W. EatonTurner and J. Murdoch, to he sergeants.
Army Pay Department—Pte. A. H Williams, to be pay sergeant. Headquarters Staff (Records)'.—Pte. R. 0. Sweet, to be corporal. H Company loth Reinforcements.Sergt. M. J. Scott, to be company ser-geant-major.
D Company, 12th Reinforcements.— Corpls. W. W. Walton and J. Fox, to be sergeants; Pte. J. H. M'Kinlay, to be orderly room clerk, with rank of corporal.
G Company, 15th Reinforcements.— Pte. S. Frickleton, to bo corporal; Ptes. C. R. Tovey, W. B. Thomson, E. W. Tappenden, J. R. Sturge, and R. (i. Williams, to be lance-corporals.
