109 RECRUITS REQUIRED AT ONCE
' District Headquarters has naked Wellington City to supply a further 50 men to make up 'Wellington district's shortage for the Fifteenth Reinforcements. These extra men must ho ready to $o into' camp' by Tuesday next, May 2. The City is already '16 men short for the Sixteenth Infantry' Roinforcoments, which are being called up for May 2, so No. 5 Group (Wellington City and Suburbs) has. to find another 109. lit men for the Infantry within the next few days. This is n fairly big undertaking, seeing that the Fifteenth Reinforcements, which have already boon in camp three weeks, are' still short of infantrymen. One man—James Garry—was sent into camp yesterday afternoon, making tlio shortage thirteen for Wellington City quota for the Fifteenths.

It is expected, says our Napier correspondent, that the quota for the Sixteenth Reinforcements from No. 7 Group (Hastings, Napier Wairoa, and Gisborne) will be, about 20 men short.
