SOCIALIST CONFERENCE ENDS IN DISORDER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. Ipril 24,'7.55 p.m.) ....' London, April 23. The annual conference of British Socialists at Manchester resulted in a split. A party of 150 delegates, includ-' ing a strong Clyde representation, passed a resolution to hold the conference in camera, whereupon twenty other delegates withdrew, and the remainder indulged in a frantic demonstration, rising and cheering wildly and • singing "The Red Flag." THE PRO-WAR DELEGATES!' (Rec. April 25, 0.25 a.m.) London, April 24. The British Socialist Party js better known as- the Social Democratic Federation, a small and insignificant' body. When the conference., split through carrying tho peace resolution, the prowar delegates, under Jlr. H.'Hyndman's leadership, who had withdrawn, subsequently passed a resolution to the effect "that while convinced that the' Allies' victory was essential to democracy.
