An Italian official communique states:—"ln the Adamello zone, during a severe blizzard on Tuesday, we attacked the enemy's position on 'the steep crest of the Lobbi Alta, among glaciers 3300 metres above sea level. We captured all the positions by Wednesday evening." AUSTRIAN OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE. (Rec. April 16, 5.5 p.m.) ! Amsterdam, April 14. A WAR CORRESPONDENT'S REPORT ' EIGHT AUSTRIAN FORTS BESIEGED. (Roo. April 16, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 14. Tile "Daily Telegraph's" Rome correspondent states that an Italian offensive, simultaneous with the German attack at Verdun, resulted in an extension of the Italian lines by several kilometre? in the Southern and Eastern Trentino, upon the Isonzo and on the Carso Plateau. Thirty villages and many fortified hills in the Ledro, D'Aone, Adige, and Sugana Valleys passed into the Italians' possession. . _ . . "Eight Austrian forts on Lake Garda are now being besieged. lolnuno is under tho Italian fire from threo sides. The Austrians have been reinforced, but chiefly bv youngsters and territorials. Prisoners state that the Austrians would have' attacked, but that the Italians forestalled them.
