LODGE MEETINGS
There was a very fair attendance of both members and visitors at tEe weekly session of tho Star of Wellington Ijodge, held in St. Peter's Mission Hall, Taranaki Street. Sister' Rigarlsford presided, in the absence of tho C.T. One momber was re-admitted, into tho Order. Bro. J. Griffiths, G.C., from Invercargill, gave an interesting account of his travels in both Islands, The arrangements for next meeting are in the hands of the Harmony Committee,
Tho fortnightly meeting of tho Pride of Brooklyn Lodge, U.A.0.D., was held 0.1 Thursday last, before a large number of members and visitors. A.D. Bro. Hunter was in tho chair, tho secretary again reporting that there were no members receiving sick pay, which goes to show the healthy state of the lodge. The following visitors attended:— I'.D.P. Bro. Hall, P.D.P. Bro. Bcu, D.P. Bro. Abel (No. 2 District), D.P. Bro. Beere (No. 21 District), officers .and brothers of Coronation, under A.D. Bro. Potter; Melrose, under J.P.A. Bro. Tullett; Island Bay, under V.A. Bro. Shaw; Pacific, under P.A. Bro. Severn; Excelsior, under A.D. Bro. Harlen. Seven of the visitors wero proposed as honorary members who were filling to help further the interests of the lodge. A hearty vote of thanks to the visitors for their attendance was moved by P.A. Bro. Mahoney, and seconded hy V.A.B. Bro. AVillis. After the meeting was ovgr pjl tsolc part in quoit and euchre tournaments. Bro. Osborne I (Island Bay) was winner of the quoits with 123, and the euchrc ended in a draw, Bro. Beu winning the prize in the cut.
