WELLINGTON SAVAGE CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Wellington Suvage Club was held ii\ the Grand.Hotel last evening, Mr. Marcus Marks presiding.- The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted after p long and entertaining discussion. The balance-sheet • showed the finances - of the club to be in a perfectly sound condition. The following officers were elected for the ensuing season: —President, Mr. Marcus Marks; vice-presidents, Major-A. A. Corrigan, Lieut.-Colonel E. J.' Courtney, Messrs. W. H. Atack and F. Twiss; council, Messrs. G. F. Wilson, J. M. Clark, N. Aitken, W. Fraser, H. Plimmer, T. M. AVilford, P. Levi, J. F. Carr; musical director, Mr. M'Comish; auditor, Mr. A. S. Biss; treasurer, Mr. F. K. do Castro; secretary, Mr. Ronald K. Lyon. It was decided that the money subscribed in tho club for the purchase of a machine gun during last season, amounting to £137 25., be donated to any Returned Soldiers' Club that meets with the approval of tho committee.
