The Nationalist Counc ; l of the Socialist Party, by 1996 votes to 960, has decided to continue its efforts in national defence; to safeguard Franco, which had been attacked and invaded; to restore the independence of Sfcjvia and Belgium. It was decided that it was inadvisable to hold a universal coiiferenco while tho nations are disunited, and the Council' suggests that the various international bodies should compile their opinions regarding war problems, allotting the responsibility for starting the war. The Council also suggests a preliminary invoslißation into tho 'economic problems i of the. war.
