MEN ON THE MAHENO
DUE AT NOON TO-DAY RECEPTION THIS AFTERNOON. Tho Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) has been advised by the Defence authorities that the hospital ship Maheuo, from the Mediterranean, via Suez and Auckland, is due to arrive liere at noon to-day. Her complement of sick, wounded, and convalescent is as follows: —For Wellington, 7 cot cases, 4 hospital ca6es, and 76 convalescents; for Canterbury, 8 cot oases, 10 hospital cases, and 58 convalescents; for Cftago, 6 eot cases, 11 hospital cmos, and 51 convalescents. All of the returned men who can makfl it possible to do so are to be accorded a welcome at the Town Hall at 2.30 p.m., when the Mayor, tho Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence will probably be present.
